A score you can understand
Every ingredient gets one of five levels, from safe to avoid, with a short description of what it does. The overall verdict is driven by the most concerning ingredients, so a risky item cannot hide in a long list.
Scores that follow regulators
Scores follow the European Food Safety Authority, the US Food and Drug Administration, the International Agency for Research on Cancer and many others. If an ingredient is banned somewhere, you see where. Etiq shows what these sources say and does not make ratings up.

Every E-number, decoded
Additives hide behind codes like E102 or E338. Etiq turns every code into a name and tells you what the additive is for — a preservative, a colourant, a sweetener — and where it comes from. Ingredients nested inside other ingredients, like the emulsifier inside a chocolate coating, are read and scored one by one.
